Bio for 2026
Christina McCleanhan, born on July 4th, was raised between the hills of eastern Kentucky and the riverbanks of the mighty Ohio. She completed her undergraduate degree at Transylvania University and received an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College in Oakland, California. She is a first-generation college graduate. As an artist, Christina has learned that the rhythm of humanity offers itself to those who find peace in crowded rooms and resilience in empty hallways. Her current writing explores the delicate privilege of balancing grief and joy. She is a writer, performer, and adjunct college instructor.
Reason for signing up:
Poetry is the structure I drape most of my feelings on, and I am usually more creative when I consistently practice the craft. This summer is going to be full of acting, writing, and self-care, so why not jump back on the Poetry Party Bus?
